Dr. Les Starnes has maintained a private practice in Orange County since completing his orthodontic residency at St. Louis University in 1966. He is a past president of the Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation and past president of the Orange County Dental Society.

He has contributed as a part time orthodontic faculty member at UCLA and is published in the American Journal of Orthodontics, the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, the Clinical Impressions and the Orange County Dental Journal.

As orthodontic technology has developed, Doctor Starnes has used these advancements to promote the highest standards of care in the community. For example, he was a leader in establishing adult orthodontic treatment in the 1970's and was a pioneer in perfecting treatment with braces behind the teeth in the 1980's. In the 1990's he developed treatment protocol for orthopedic corrections in young patients prior to eruption of all permanent teeth.

Dr. Heidi Starnes is a native of Newport Beach. She achieved her pre-dental studies at SDSU and dental school at UOP and then followed in her fathers footsteps with a residency in orthodontics at St. Louis University. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, the California Dental Association and active in the Orange County Dental Society.

Dr. Starnes believes in personally tailoring treatment toward the individual needs of each patient. Her staff ensures that each patient will receive quality time with Dr. Starnes at every appointment by making certain not to overbook appointments at her beautiful Newport Orthodontic office.
